Working nearly 15 years as a communications professional, Sherry Kuiper is the media relations specialist at Fort George G. Meade. She previously spent more than a decade in the broadcast news industry working as a new producer. Kuiper holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University. Kuiper is the author of Images of America: Around Picture Rocks, a history of her hometown. She is also a writer and editor for another history book titled Fort George G. Meade: The First 100 Years. Kuiper is passionate about public speaking. She the Area 33 Director for Toastmasters International and is a member of Annapolis Toastmasters, Phase II Advanced Toastmasters and Global Transformer Toastmasters. Kuiper is also a member of the Ann Arundel Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and Junior League of Annapolis.
